Problems and prospects of demographic development in Russia

The article discusses the specifics of the implementation of the national project "Demography". Gaps in socio-demographic policy have been identified, and the regional specifics of demographic development have been characterized. It is shown that an important aspect of improving the effectiveness of demographic policy implementation is interdepartmental interaction, which helps to overcome bureaucratic barriers. It is concluded that a significant role in improving the demographic situation in the country can be played by updating the regulatory framework, improving interdepartmental interaction, as well as increasing the prestige of having many children.
