Problems and prospects of vocational training in the tourism industry

Informatization and digitalization of many modern processes and activities entails the emergence of a new integral picture of a particular type of activity. The more accessible and reliable information about a particular process, the better the understanding of it, and, accordingly, the more correct the decisions made regarding it. Modern analytical sources, media, databases, and statistical information make it possible to quickly collect and find out information about the state of almost any sphere of society. Thus, in accordance with frequent mentions in professional tourism communities, a pressing issue in this area is the staffing of the industry. The article presents material collected during the period from August 22, 2023, to February 29, 2024, for staffing the tourism industry in the Russian Federation based on mentions and postings in open Internet sources. The collected material allows us to present the current state of the personnel issue in the tourism sector, proposed cases and ready-made solutions for the regions of the Russian Federation. The information accumulated in this article can be used as a supplement to a review of scientific sources on the same topic.
