The article reveals the essence of energy management, which is a complex structure that is quite relevant at the present time, the stages of its formation are considered. In particular, today, the main task for large company is energy conservation. As a result of the research, the role of the energy manager is determined, the main problems of the development of energy management in Russia are relieved. In conclusion, the ground of the possible effect of the using of energy management in industry is given. Prospects of development of this direction of management are given.
