The article is devoted to the study of problems and prospects for the development of wholesale sales in the context of geopolitical instability. The place and role of wholesale trade enterprises in the structure of the national economy is described, the current state and position of companies in the Russian economy is characterized. The problems and prospects for the functioning of wholesale trading companies during the period of sanctions influence are characterized. It is concluded that the activities of optimizing processes, taking into account the current realities and risks of modernity, the challenges of the external environment, are becoming of leading importance in development issues. In the long term, the impact of sanctions can have a positive impact on the competitiveness of domestic companies and manufacturers, strengthening relations with the vector of mutual development.
