Results of the analysis of problems and the prospects of creation and staffing of high-performance workplaces in the region are presented in article. The research of dynamics of average labor productivity in the countries entering into the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is conducted. On the basis of use of general scientific ways of systematization and group of data, comparisons, logic-analytical assessment of parameters are investigated approaches to definition of a high-performance workplace, standard and legal base and conditions of their creation. The standard and legal base of federal and regional level in the field of creation and modernization of high-performance workplaces is investigated. The statistical analysis of labor productivity level and share of production of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries in a gross regional product of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is carried out. Dynamics of number of high-performance workplaces in the Russian Federation and the North Caucasian Federal District for 2012-2016 is investigated. Possibilities of achievement of target values of indicators are defined. The problem of estimation of cost of creation of projects on stimulation of modernization of high-performance workplaces is considered that is necessary for formation of strategy and programs of development of regional economies. Calculation of cost of creation of one highperformance workplace within implementation of priority innovative projects in the industry and agriculture of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is made. Purposes and the directions of development of personnel capacity of republic are defined; an assessment of a role of regional higher education institution in activation of creation and modernization of high-performance workplaces is given. Results of the analysis can be used in the course of development and realization of strategy of innovative development of the region and also the program of modernization and creation of new high-performance jobs in the territory of the republic.
