Problems of the institute of attorney-client privilege

The article considers the institution of attorney-client privilege as one of the most important components of high-quality protection of the interests of the principal in civil or criminal proceedings. The guarantees ensuring the preservation of the professional secrecy of a lawyer and controversial issues that may lead to a violation of the protective regime of attorney-client privilege are analyzed. Recommendations are formulated to minimize the risks of violating the regime of attorney-client privilege established by law.
