The issue of fatherhood in Russia

The paper is aimed at the analysis of the social and legal aspects of fatherhood in Russia. We focus on the im­portance of law-abiding of parental rights and responsibilities equality while bringing up and taking care of children. The results of our study show that the "new father" type was developed in society. We analyze for­eign laws that regulate joint parental guardianship after divorce in Finland, Sweden and Germany. Some rec­ommendations about the decision of the revealed problems are offered.
