Problems of using machine translation in training specialists in Russian language in Chinese universities

Based on the analysis of the research, the relevance of studying the issues of using machine translation in the process of training specialists in the Russian language in universities in China is substantiated. The scientific apparatus of the study and its main results are presented. The most popular machine translation systems, situations in which students use machine translation, the motivation for its use, the attitude of students to it and their opinion about it, as well as whether it is necessary to use it in teaching the Russian language are identified. The possibilities of applying the results of the study are presented, practical steps are determined to reform the system of teaching the Russian language, updating its content (improving the competence of teachers in the selection and use of machine translation systems; changing programs and updating the model of training specialists in the Russian language). It is concluded that the integration of topics related to translation technologies into educational programs is a relevant direction in the reform of the system of teaching foreign languages.
