Problems of seizing items, substances and documents in the course of inspection of habitable premises by operational drug control units of internal affairs bodies

The issues of seizing prohibited (banned) or restricted for turnover items and substances as well as documents discovered in the course of in-spection of habitable premises are considered in the article. The author gives answers to the questions arising in the practice of operational units activities: a) whether the record on inspection of premises and seizing items and documents is considered legitimate and whether items and substances seized in the course of operational-search activities are entered into the case file as physical evidence; b) whether it is necessary to report prohibited substances discovered in the course of operational-search activities to the police dispatch room, to register the crime report, to call an operational investigative group and to continue seizure within the framework of a crime scene investigation.
