Problems of study of speech service parts

The article considers the basic problems of service differentiation of parts of speech in the Russian language. Examines criteria for classification of data of parts of speech, and the question of lexical meaning. Special attention is paid to the problem of the amount and composition of the class of service words. The article summarizes material on the subject which is the object of study of most linguists.
