Traditions of echoes chant in old believers’ communities of Primorsky region: theoretical and methodological aspects

The author describes a current state of echoes chant in divine service and singing practice of Old Believers’ communities of Primorsky Region, considering some theoretical and methodological issues that had arisen during this research. The article contains the results of the comparative analysis of hook record of a poglasitsa in a minor echoes chant «The monk» and the variations of this poglasitsa used in popovsky and bespopovsky communities of the region.
