Product cost management effectiveness issues in the forestry industry: information aspect

Introduction: forestry industry in modern Russia cannot be called the leading one: with the world’s largest reserves of forest resources, the contribution of the timber industry to the country’s GDP is less than 1 %. The problems of effective management in the forest industry are regularly revealed in the works of both domestic and foreign scientists. In the framework of this study, the authors focus on economic nature of the problems in effectiveness of timber production management, in particular, to one of the key objects of management - the cost of production.
