Problems of economic development of territories: investments, innovations and environmental constraints

In the scientific article the current problems of economic development of the territories are considered under environmental constraints of economic activity, in particular, investment, innovational, environmental and economic problems of economic development of the Republic of Buryatia. The authors have analyzed the current state of the main production sectors of the economy of the Republic of Buryatia, the key development challenges have identified, the level of competitiveness of the region has been assessed in terms of environmental constraints, the evaluation of innovative potential of the region and promising areas of development of various sectors of the economy of the Republic of Buryatia have been identified. The measures to strengthen the financial base of the regional economy have been proposed; the mechanisms for cooperation between the state and strategic enterprises have been developed; the necessity of comprehensive research on the possibilities of using alternative energy sources has been grounded.
