Economic security issues related to criminal activity and the spread of the shadow economy

The scientific work on economic security presents the basic concepts and mechanisms of economic security related to criminal activity and the spread of the shadow economy at the federal, regional and local levels. The purpose of the scientific article is to identify economic security problems associated with the growth of criminal acts, the development of the shadow economy, as well as the impact of effective control, analysis, audit, monitoring tools on the object under study. The objectives of scientific work are: to consider the methodology and basic characteristics of economic security; determine the essence, main factors in the development of criminal activity and the shadow economy; conduct an overall assessment of current development; to consider the economic security problems associated with criminal activities and the spread of the shadow economy; suggest ways of development by means of effective tools. The following research methods were used in the work: comparative and statistical analysis, data collection, induction and deduction methods. The paper studied the basic concepts and elements of economic security, criminal activity, shadow economy, assessed the state of modern Russian companies, regions and the Russian Federation as a whole. Taking into account the results of the study, conclusions were made about the lack of effective mechanisms necessary to form a high level of economic security, the main measures were proposed to regulate stability, increase sustainable development and support business entities.
