Problems of labor migration in Yakutia

The problems of labor migration are primarily related to such factors as: insufficiently developed social infrastructure, continuing since the 1990s, migration outflow of population, including skilled personnel, poor quality of life along with undeveloped infrastructure, especially energy and transport. All this hinders the dynamic development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The existing problems related to the management of migration processes require an integrated approach to their solution. The study suggests that the problems of labor migration are not new for this country. Currently, the most stringent legal conditions are created here among the regions of Russia. The strengthening of the role of civil society institutions is currently a priority in the regulation of migrant communities, the purpose of which is the activities that contribute to the formation of mechanisms for monitoring the recruitment of labor. Despite the need to increase labor and business immigration, the factors outlined in the article may pose a threat to the migration security of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The article analyzes the social and economic problems of labor migration in the region. The recommendations on the development of migration policy, taking into account the interests of the economy of the Republic and the local population.
