Problems of the appointment and execution of criminal penalties against military personnel

Strengthening military discipline is essential to improving the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Therefore, strengthening the military law and order requires constant improvement in the organization ofmilitary service, as wellas strict compliance with thestatutory order and legality in the activities of all officials. The presented scientific article is devoted to problems of practice of assignment of punishments to military personnel, peculiarities of application of certain types of sanctions to the considered category of special subjects of criminal-legal relations. The most important task of the legislator is not the abolition of a part of punishments as a solution of problems of criminal military punishments, but a deep elaboration of the criminal law regulating measures of criminal-legal influence on servicemen, a procedure of their application and execution. It is this that willbe an indicator of the individualization and strengthening of criminal legislation.
