Problems of NEET youth: the gap in non-cognitive skills

Young people who do not receive education, work or vocational training (NEET) are among the most vulnerable group of people in the transition from study to work. Although many studies have focused on the institutional factors underlying the NEET problem, the purpose of this article is to explore how NEET youth lags behind their peers in non-cognitive skills, which are so necessary for inclusive socio-economic participation of youth in the modern economy.
