Problems of ensuring economic security at the regional level

Ensuring economic security at the regional level requires preliminary identification of problems that impede the sustainable development of the region and the achievement of its strategic goals. The purpose of the study consists in identifying current problems of ensuring economic security of the Smolensk region, the objectives of the study are related to the study of theoretical aspects of identifying problems that impede ensuring economic security at the regional level, as well as the analysis of the socio-economic development of the Smolensk region and the weaknesses of the regional economic system. The problems of ensuring economic security in Smolensk region are associated with low innovative activity in industry, inefficiency of the tourism sector, failure to use public-private partnership opportunities, and low rates of digital transformation have been identified.
