The study discusses the employees’ appeal to the Federal Labour Inspectorate to protect their labour rights. Having analysed the current legislation and case law, the author concludes that it is important to introduce an e-employment contract properly and avoid multicopying its terms. The three-year statute of limitations on appeals to the Federal Labour Inspectorate to protect labour rights should be enshrined in Article 357 of the Labour Code of the Russian Federation. The precise time limit for appeal against the regulations of state labour inspectors is to be fixed in the Labour Code of the Russian Federation. It is necessary to introduce the compulsory pre-trial procedure for settling labour disputes as well. Besides, the regulation of a state labour inspector should be presented in the form of a writ of execution, i.e. the employer’s account should be levied.
