Problems of the organization of international adoption in Russia at the present stage

This article discusses the problems of the organization of adoption by foreign citizens of Russian children left without parental care. The issues of the functioning of organizations-mediators in matters of adoption. Such fundamental acts in matters of adoption as the Convention on the Rights of the Child of November 20, 1989 and the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Foreign Adoption of May 29, 1933 are analyzed. Summarizing the above Convention, it is concluded that foreign adoption is an alternative to adopting a child in his country of residence. Based on this, the authors come to the conclusion that the adoption of children left without parental care should be carried out only through special organizations whose activities, in one way or another, involve a foreign state, since this will give reliability to this legal relationship and contribute to the reduction of crimes from parties to individuals who have adopted a child. Arguments in favor of this statement are given.
