The challenges of the public employment service activities in the 1990-s (case study of the south of the Russian Far East)

The article discusses the main challenges faced by the bodies of the Public Employment Service in the 1990-s, such as: adaptation to unemployment, carrying out of public works, relationship of employment service institutions and the regional authorities, and others. In the modern scientific literature, the problems of employment in the Far East of Russia are analyzed in the economic and legal context only, while the offered article considers the problem in the historical aspect, which determines the scientific relevance of the research.
