Problems of representation of sanitary protection zones in urban planning documentation. Case comment on the judgment of RF SC No. 64-APG18-7, 17 October. 2018

The article investigates the problem of displaying sanitary protection zones (SPZ) in urban planning documentation by the example of an analysis of one of the definitions of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, which concludes that only SPZ established in the manner prescribed by existing legislation are subject to display. The author comes to the conclusion that the main source of information about such zones should be the territory planning documentation. It offers directions for improving Russian legislation, including those providing for the possibility of approving documentation on the planning of the territory, subject to a subsequent reduction in the size of the SPZ.
