Problems of patent protection of inventions that use digital information processing

The possibilities of patent protection as inventions of innovations using digital signal processing are considered. The interpretation of the impossibility of patent protection of computer programs and algorithms as such is analyzed. Attention is drawn to the complexity of the definition of the concepts of “technical solution” and “technical result” in relation to some types of innovations in which computer processing of information is carried out. It is proposed to amend the legislation and provide for the possibility of patent protection of computer-implemented programs that provide a technical result.
