Problems of improving the investment attractiveness of the Sverdlovsk region

Investment attractiveness is an important aspect in the development of both the region and the state as a whole. The inflow of investments allows creating new enterprises, expanding the existing ones, increasing the competitiveness of goods and services. That is why the search and solution of problems related to investment attractiveness is a key element in the qualitative improvement of the region, as well as achieving a balance in its development. The article assessed the investment attractiveness of the Sverdlovsk Oblast in comparison with its geographical neighbours and other regions of the Urals Federal District. In addition, the gross regional product was considered as the main indicator of the region's development and the weight of industries in the structure of the region's economy was assessed. Important, in the author's opinion, problems and possible ways of their solution were identified.
