Improving the quality of service is an important tool in the management of the competitiveness of the commercial enterprise. The purpose of the Study is to identify the problems of this process on the example of companies specializing in trade. For this purpose, tasks were set and solved to study the essence of the concept of "quality of service", to consider the criteria of quality of service. the study of the features of trade organizations in the field of trade and the identification of their example problems of improving the quality of service. The use of such research methods. like analysis. synthesis, idealization, analogy, allowing to solve the problems. For example, a high level of importance of certain criteria in the process of assessing the quality of service from buyers: technical knowledge of sales consultants, the breadth and consistency of the range, the culture of service, the level of customer satisfaction.
