This article raises the problem of the emergence and termination of the legal personality of citizens. The paper also describes the characteristics of the elements of legal personality. The article discusses debatable questions about the problem of the emergence of a citizen's legal personality, its significance, importance and significance at the general theoretical and sectoral levels. During the work, the main legislative and regulatory documents governing the legal status of a citizen were analyzed.
