Teaching philosophy at school

The article is devoted to problems of teaching philosophy at school. On the basis of the analysis of experience and problems of teaching philosophy in secondary educational institutions of Western Europe and Russia the necessity, contents, and teaching methods of philosophy as a subject of the school program are discussed. The basic curricula and manuals by both foreign and Russian authors are analysed. The author offers his own vision of the problem.
