Problems of enforcement of the current Russian legislation in the sphere of corruption

Purpose: This study aims to conduct analysis of the causes that contribute to the occurrence of crimes in the sphere of corruption. Methodology: Historical, legalistiс and analytical methods were used. Results: This paper is devoted to the actual causes of corruption crimes. Factors contributing to the emergence of corruption crimes are analysed, as well as methods to combat corruption crimes in order to develop adequate proposals to improve such methods. On the basis of the analysis of corruption crimes, the current problems of their definition are revealed and ways to solve such problems are offered. Novelty/originality/value: This study has a high scientific value, as it contains analysis of statistics, which has shown a negative trend regarding the growth of the level of corruption in the Russian Federation. Moreover, the authors, based on the analysis of corruption crimes, reveal the actual problems of the definition of such crimes and the ways to solve them.
