Problems of developing and updating work programs in the higher education system

The competitiveness of the country’s economy is ensured by certain resources. One of the main resources is the availability of professional workers. Considerable attention is paid to the training of professional personnel in any country of the world not only by the state, but also by educational institutions, among which there is quite a lot of competition in modern conditions. Taking into account the reform of the education system in Russia, namely the introduction of unified federal state educational standards, the state introduces norms regulating not only the procedure and timing of the educational process, but also the procedure for the formation and updating of methodological support for the educational process. The purpose of the study is to study the norms of legislation regulating the procedure for the development, approval and updating of work programs of academic disciplines, as the main document specifying all stages of mastering the discipline and sources of basic and additional literature necessary to obtain specific knowledge, skills and abilities. This topic is quite relevant, since the variety of areas of study, the emergence of new professions that meet modern economic requirements requires higher education institutions and teachers to constantly monitor the process of developing and updating work programs. The introduction of automation into the process of formation and updating is of particular interest. The analysis of publications by various authors on this topic over the past three years has been carried out. The results of our own research are described with conclusions that have identified problems with research issues. Proposals have been formulated to eliminate the identified problems.
