Problems of development of single-industry towns in the Republic of Buryatia

The article deals with the development of single-industry towns in the Republic of Buryatia, their current state, problems and level of infrastructure of single-industry towns. The authors analyze the official reports of the Fund of the development of single-industry towns, legal acts of the government of the Russian Federation concerning the development of single-industry towns, "Integrated development of single-industry towns of the Republic of Buryatia" the Republican program, the official information of Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation, etc. In addition, the article describes the criteria of single-industry cities, identifies the problems of the program of development of single-industry towns, analyzes the results of the Fund of the development of single-industry towns and the results of the audit of the Fund of development of single-industry towns held by the Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation. The article notes the positive aspects of the program of development of such towns in the Republic of Buryatia and proposes measures to solve the problems of development and improvement of the general condition of single-industry towns.
