Problems of development of the sphere of sanatorium-resort services in modern conditions

In the 90s of the XX century, the sanatorium and resort complex lost powerful state support. Having embarked on the path of developing market relations, many health resorts, unable to withstand competition and self-financing, were forced to close. Subsequently, some of them began to function more as accommodation facilities, losing their uniqueness. The purpose of the study is to identify and generalize the problems of functioning of the sanatorium-resort services in modern conditions and develop proposals for their solution. The study used methods: statistical analysis, comparison, generalization, formal logic. As a result of the study, problems in the field of sanatorium-resort services are classified according to functional characteristics: financial, material, personnel, technological, regulatory; and territorial basis: on the problems of the federal, regional and municipal levels. The listed problems are presented in the form of a "tree of problems," the main pillar of which is the inaccessibility of sanatorium-resort services, and their solution to problems rests on the development of the geosystem. It is justified that the solution of these problems is possible with the help of state support, the development of digitalization and technological innovations.
