Problems of development of the east direction of RZD: infrastructural barriers and logistical adaptation

The article is devoted to the analysis of the current transport policy of the Russian Federation in the context of geopolitical changes. Special attention is paid to the complexity of modernizing the Eastern polygon of Russian Railways (RZD) and reorienting cargo flows from the West to the East. Institutional and infrastructural barriers are considered, including capacity, financing, and international aspects of transit. The study is based on official documents, statistics, and investment plans of Russian Railways. It identifies problems, determines priority areas, and provides recommendations for further development of logistics corridors.
