Problems of state control over the activities of local self-government bodies

Local self-government cannot be effective without control. The article deals with topical issues related to the regulation of state control over local self-government bodies. Particular attention is paid to the legal and organizational aspects of Russian legislation regulating control activities. The author analyzes the existing regulatory contradictions that hinder the effective operation of state control mechanisms. Possible solutions to the identified problems are also considered, the need for high-quality legal regulation of this area is proved.
