Current problems of the Russian-Turkish relations

The article is devoted to the Russian-Turkish contradictions, which steadily accompany the bilateral relations regardless of stages of confrontation or rapprochement. These contradictions also do not depend on economic cooperation between Russia and Turkey, and are geopolitical ones, that also can explain their stability. The developed economic relations, including the sphere of energetics, naturally has a positive impact on the bilateral relations. Nevertheless, they are not capable to ify the different perspectives on many international issues. Presently, the Russian-Turkish relations continue holding serious contradictions on such questions as Syrian conflict, situation around Ukraine and Crimea, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, problem of cooperation in the Black Sea region, situation around Cyprus and on other questions of regional and international character.
