Problems of training of commercial aviation pilots

Soviet Union educational system of training of the pilots of the civil aviation satisfied all the needs of the country in the area of pilot personnel of high qualification. Nowadays the situation is different and the educational institutions, providing the initial training of pilots, do not cope with the task. The article gives the historical overview and the analysis of the structure of the present educational system of training of the pilots of the civil aviation. The data on the number of students entered and graduated from the specialized educational institutions aimed at the training of the pilots of civil aviation is given. Also the data on the staffing level of these institutions, material and technical resources of the educational institutions, different types of facilities prescribed to the airmen trainee are presented. The problems of the pilot training are identified: shortage of staff in the educational institutions, material and technical resources do not correspond to the requirements, graduates have no possibility to work as pilots of modern airplanes after graduation, lack of financing of educational organizations. The results of the analysis can be applied to improve the educational process of training of civil aviation pilots.
