Problems of social and economic development of the village in the Volga region after the reform in the research of zemstvo statisticians

A weighty contribution to the study of the social and economic position of peasant households was made by zemstvo statisticians. They did great work in this direction. According to the author’s opinion, the data of zemstvo statistics reflected the changes happening in the village after the reform in the fullest and most accurate way. They showed that the capitalism in the agrarian sector was developing exceptionally unevenly.
