The author considers the problems of social justice and inequality in modern Russian society. The analysis of the opinion of the inhabitants of Russia on what they consider to be justice and social inequality is presented. The study also presents indicators of the income level of the richest and poorest segments of the Russian population, shows the difference between them. A negative attitude of society towards the current inequality is indicated. It is concluded that the problem of social justice and inequality is becoming more acute and relevant every year for most of the population of our country. Consequently, the state requires the adoption of such measures that will smooth out the existing social inequality, thereby reducing social tension and discontent in Russian society.
