The scientific article is devoted to the analysis of the problems of improving the personnel motivation system at the enterprise and the formation of an effective mechanism to increase the level of employee motivation, based on their real needs. The main mistakes of Russian managers in managing staff motivation are listed. The assessment of the most important motivating factors for employees of domestic enterprises. An effective mechanism for improving the staff motivation system based on the individual needs of employees is proposed.
