The article examines the main problems of the age of criminal responsibility, the arguments "for" and "against" lowering the age of criminal responsibility, as well as different opinions on whether it is worth moving the current age limit in criminal legislation. This issue is debatable and relevant today. Provides an overview of regulatory legal acts and judicial practice, statistical data on crimes committed by minors. It is difficult to say unequivocally whether it is worth raising or lowering the age limit for criminal responsibility, but the author's opinion, based on the arguments from the article, is that it is not worth lowering the age limit in Russia.
