Problems of urban sustainable development in the context of increasing migration flows

The study addresses the issue of the modern sustainable development of the urban environment. The relevance of this problem is explained by the expanding urban space, environmental degradation and increasing migration flows. As the concept of sustainable development to date is a crucial element for human survival and future, the author reviews a number of difficulties related to the implementation of this concept, one of which is migration. The raised migration flows lead to an increase in tension, conflicts and intolerance among the population. Tolerance is regarded as a stable coexistence of different ethnic groups in the urban space. However, tolerance is an extremely ambiguous quality that requires an in-depth consideration in the modern world. The study shows the importance of tolerance on the part of hosts and newcomers.
