Problems of interaction of different types of transport in the organization of transportation

The article is devoted to the interaction of different types of vehicles in the organization of transportation. To date, the main part of transportation is carried out with the participation of two or more vehicles. Due to the absence of the concepts "intermodal" and "multimodal" transportation in Russian legislation, the term "multimodal transportation" is used. The article deals with the main problems of interaction of vehicles and disadvantages in the work of transport hubs, and their impact on the organization of transport. Insufficient attention is paid to resolving issues of interaction and eliminating the causes of inefficiency. The lack of a single tool for optimizing transport processes is a limiting factor for development.
