The article discusses the process of collective-farm construction in the North Caucasus in 1928-1929 Emphasizes the link between the outbreak forced creations of collective farms and carried out grain procurement campaign, as well as the increasing infringement of the rights of the wealthy part of the village. Marks the class character of ongoing activities on the establishment of collective farms, involving the application of state aid coming into the farms of the poor. Characterized by the nature of the ongoing policy of creating collective farms, modeling the organization of large-scale industry production. Explains the processes of creating the first large agroindustrial complexes, tractor columns and machine and tractor stations. Provides data about the quantitative growth of the collective farms in the grain districts of the North Caucasus and the differences in this indicator in individual constituencies in the region. There was insufficient material-technical base of the majority of newly established collective farms and weaknesses in their organization and management. Attention is drawn to the contradictions held at this time, policy decisions on collective acceleration of construction in the absence of objective prerequisites and the widespread support of the peasants and Cossacks. Analyzes the results of collectivization in the North Caucasus in the late 1920s, emphasized its negative consequences for the further development of agriculture.
