The paper presents information about the need to optimize the personnel of the organization and its significance, the essence of the concept of "personnel optimization" and its types are considered. The problems in the process of personnel optimization at the enterprise that hinder development are identified. The main measures that can solve problems are proposed. It is noted that in order to solve the identified problems, managers of enterprises need to focus on raising the level of literacy of employees of the HR department and on monitoring their activities.
