Mediation in legal activity

The article examines the procedural independence of the investigator, which has an important role in criminal proceedings. The position that the procedural independence of the investigator should be justified, and the opinions of researchers are also considered. The very meaning of the investigator's independence is revealed and the laws in which it is prescribed are indicated. The powers of the prosecutor, the investigator and the head of the investigative body are compared.
