Procedural status of the expert and specialist

The author of the article proposes a classification of the subjects of criminal proceedings depending on the ratio of their procedural and professional statuses. It allows you to determine the degree of influence of the professional component of the activity of the participants in the process on the performance of their procedural functions. The consolidation of the professional status of an expert at the level of federal law is the basis for including an expert in the number of professional participants in criminal proceedings and differentiating the procedural position of an expert and a specialist.
