Digitalization processes in tourism at the regional level

The article examines the processes of digitalization, digital technologies and tools that are used in tourism at the regional level, as well as their impact on the tourism industry. The directions of digital transformation of the tourism industry (the introduction of regional tourism platforms, the use of big data, the use of virtual reality, PMS management systems, the use of artificial intelligence, online booking and purchase systems, integrated travel applications, etc.) and their impact on the competitiveness of tourism products at the regional level are identified. The current state of digitalization of tourism at the regional level, trends and development features are analyzed. The state strategy for the development of digitalization processes in tourism is analyzed, which solutions are set by the strategy, as well as in which directions the development will be carried out. The statistics of digitalization of customer experience in tourism in the regions of the Russian Federation were analyzed. Digital tools in tourism have been systematized and their classification has been created, including both client-side technologies and technologies used directly by tourism organizers. Based on existing digitalization tools, an algorithm has been identified that facilitates a more efficient selection of digital tools for tourism development at the regional level.
