The article features the problem of surgical treatment of pancreas benign cystic formations with complications of chronic pancreatitis. The spectrum of complications in 135 patients with chronic cysts of the pancreas, operated in the amount of external (n = 74), internal (n = 38) drainage, resection methods (n = 16) and isolated cystectomy (n = 7) was analyzed. Suppuration of the cyst was in 47,4% of patients. External drainage predominated among the methods of surgical treatment (54,8%). Lateral pancreajejunostomy was performed in 25,2% of the patients with benign cysts of the pancreas, despite the presence of complications (including septic) chronic pancreatitis. Absence of lethality and minimization of postoperative complications (n = 1) confirms the possibility and feasibility of the implementation of lateral pancreajejunostomy in patients with complicated cysts of the pancreas with the presence of intraduct hypertension.
