Working hours and quality of life: economic and legal analysis

The article presents the results of an expert survey of young residents of the city of Perm about their opinion the legislative initiative to introduce a 4-day working week and increase the working day to 10 hours. The purpose of the study is to identify the opinions of young citizens regarding this bill and its possible impact on the quality of life of the region’s population. Results. According to the results of the survey, respondents are mostly negative about this bill. It turned out that the main danger from lengthening the working day, the respondents see in worsening working conditions, in the development of burnout, increased daily fatigue and chronic stress, undermining family values and problems with raising children. All this together will lead to a deterioration in the quality of life of people, especially youth.
