Food security of the Russian Federation

This article is devoted to the issues of food security of the Russian Federation. Food security in this article is considered as a guarantee of independence, sovereignty of the state, as well as the foundation of economic security in general. The article also defines the concept of «food security», outlines the threats to food security, and ways to overcome them. Particular attention is paid to the issues of overcoming the consequences of COVID-19 in the context of food security, solving the problems of import substitution through the digitalization of agriculture, and the introduction of the concept of «smart agriculture».
