Food security of the Vologda oblast: condition and problems

The article considers the essence of the region’s food security and defines conditions for its promotion. The article also characterizes the current state of affairs in the food security of the Vologda Oblast and identifies the problems of ensuring economic and physical availability of foodstuffs, the factors constraining the expanded reproduction in agriculture, food and processing industry.
